Our clients based in Hertfordshire, Welwyn Garden City are looking for Support Worker’s to join their busy and friendly team on a temporary basis. You will be working with Children and Adults with learning and physical disabilities, it is desirable to have an NVQ 3 in Health and Social Care, though this is not essential. Experience within a similar setting is desirable.
The purpose of the job is to ensure the safety well-being and comfort of service users and to ensure the security of the centres/homes. You will be responsible in assisting service users with all areas of personal care. This may include toileting, bathing, changing and general personal care. You will also be responsible to encourage and enable service users in to living as independently as possible. To comfort service users and help reduce any distress or anxiety if it occurs. If you are on a waking night you will be required to help service users to return to their beds, if necessary and ensure that they are settled. To always give a report on the shifts events to the Senior Support Worker on duty , before leaving the centres/homes.
You will be responsible for working various shifts that consist of earlies, days, lates and waking nights, 7 days a week, on a temporary basis. The shifts are flexible so you will be able to choose from a selection of different hours and days throughout the week/weekend.
